Copper Mountain death, 2 local kids die - Snowboarding Forum

I just read in our local paper that a high school kid from our area crashed at Copper Mountain and passed away. He was only 17. The details seemed to be: He was wearing a helmet, veered off trail to ride and crashed into a shed housing a snow machine of some sort.

He was on vacation with his family. This is the 2nd loss in 2 weeks. A competition skier from the same high school died the week before. He never woke up the next morning after ski practice. Found out that was a heart defect.

Sad day in our area, prayers to both familes
