Default Sac County man dies at Sierra, avalanche injures Kirkwood skier

Blower weekend. I went Saturday. Visibility was very scarce and it kept dumping all day. Sunday was even worse. Best conditions of the season but dangerous. I read it took people 6 hours to get off 88 ( normally one hour) due oto an accident and an avy.

Not the first time either. Last season they had one on the backside...you could see it from the chairlift. No one was hurt then.

A lady was hurt pretty badly going into the trees at Sierra this past Saturday when I was there. It's been a dangerous winter.
