mt.hood summer snowboard camp. - Snowboarding Forum

I have a few questions about the camp specifically lodging. What's the pros and cons of the chalet and lodges. Also how much downtime do you have in your lodge, also do they have Wi-Fi there.

If it helps im a 15 year old guy. I get along with mostly everyone.

Which camp are you looking at? I went to windells this spring and it was 7 hours of snowboarding then we came back for video reveiw and dinner and then you basically can do whatever you want till lights out. All around camp there was wifi.

Wifi yes. Go with The chalet, limited roomates, more bathrooms than the lodges in general, the counselors will bake more often, it's not that much more expensive....

Free time... After 3 when everyone comes off the mtn you can chill in the place as long as you want or you can hang out in govy.....

i'm going there for the first time this summer, but my friend said that the chalet was for losers... hope I didn't screw up too bad...

Yea he said the chalet people didn't mix with the lodge people as much and they were segregated a bit.

either way everyone is segregated out into smaller groups for boarding and other activities. If someone stays in their lodging all afternoon to play video games then I could understand that but who wants to stay in your rooms rather it be lodge or chalet....

Mine isnt from personal experience, my son is 12 and has gone for 3 years and this year. My daughter went a couple of years too. My son has to go to the chalet because of age. My daughter went in the lodge and chalet on alternating years.....

My son is mainly their to learn new tricks and get practice in for summer. The social thing is just a bonus but he knows alot of the kids already from prior years and quite a few pros that he keeps in touch with too.... the chalet never held him back from any social life.

they have always gone to session 3 but he changed to session 2 this season.

Yea my friend is a little anti-social so that might have something to do with it... I don't think its possible to go to HCSC and not have fun
