Slc ?

Anyone have any info on SLC? I've been there a few times and may have the opportunity to move there for a few years. Obviously the boarding is good, but it is otherwise worth moving to? Seems like life off the mountain may not be so great and I may only be able to ride 2-3 times/week.

I am in the same position as you. I am moving there first of June for work for 2 years. I am definitely looking forward to the boarding, but from what I have read the night life is limited.
When do you move?

It sucks and the mormons take over your soul. If you can move to Tahoe or Summit Co, CO

It is just a possibility as of now. I guess I will know in June and I would move in June 2013.

Why? It sucked this year. Based on this season I would never recommend moving here. It rarely snowed and the avy conditions were terrible.

Do you drink? There aren't many good beers to choose from here and you have to buy real beer from the liquor store at insane prices. Not much of anything is open on Sunday. Want to go to dinner? Better make sure the restaurant is open that day. There are tons of quirky things here.

To be honest, I am moving to SLC because I received a job offer for a position that I wanted, and has a strong future. And since I love snowboarding and outdoor sports SLC seemed like a good place to be. We can not always get what we want.

Do you know anyone looking for a roommate? I am moving out there June 1st.

They still have weed and alcohol, just don't go fishing alone with a mormon, they'll drink all your beer.
