Default Lets hear from some other proud parents of their little shred/rippers.

My baby is actually graduating hs, it was abit doubtful at times this winter cause she did 100+ day season. She boarded for 7 years and kind of switched to skiing 2 years ago but still rides occasionally. Some pics

Switched to skiing!?! What is this world coming to?!?

Congrats on the wee one being a snow hound. I have no kids yet but we took the neighbours 1.5 year old trapshooting a few weeks ago. She loved it! Wasn't spooked at all by the guns... I started skiing at around 6-7 years old and I wouldn't have traded it for the world (being on the snow that is).

I MISS MY DAD! He's supposed to come out here skiing but too busy enjoying retired life elsewhere... lol

Default End of 2nd season

9 years old at end of second season. She is not crushing any speed records, but she did alright this year. Thank you to the pros on this board that helped me get her this far!She earned her new set up for next year. I will be back in the fall for some equipment help for her!

I am such a proud mama. Coming from a family of snow junkies, it turns out one of our little girls loves to snowboard. She can't get enough of it, and she is only 3 years old!

Ha..I wish I had such supportive parents..my mom yells at me every time I come back from snowboarding because she thinks that it's a total waste of my time. She'll buy me 400 dollar shoes but not a snowboard. It's hell trying to talk her into driving me to whistler once in a while. She even blames all my "bad" grades (B+'s) on snowboarding and how it's a bad influence etc. I've never gotten more than 10 days on snow per season. Mom logic )':

Ok, that was fuckin' awesome.

You rock as a parent, I had the biggest smile the whole time I watched that video.

I'd be proud too, she's wicked & she's got huge cojones for such a little girl!

Seriously well done.

Dear god! My mom would have been happy if I was getting a B+ average let alone those being my low grades! Of course by the time I went to college and then university I decided I better care and finished with something like a 93 average...

Maybe you gotta put the spin on it that physical activity stimulates the brain and increases your ability to perform well in difficult situations (ie. during exams)... Or you could put the spin on it that it's better to be snowboarding than hanging out with the druggies or prosti-tots!

My dad and I took trips all the time together, now as adults that's how we usually get together. I hope if I have kids one day they'll take up snow sports, otherwise they'll be bored as hell when I'm at the hill!!! lol

That's freaking awesome, coolest thing I've seen in quite some time! My boy is 2.5 and I was thinking of getting him started at age 4... It looks like he's already behind the curve!

BG u got maybe 2-3 years and she will be blowin past you.

Holden that's another frickin awesome...best I evar seen, she is already pushing the envelope for the gals.

Jojo work a deal/contract with mom. With my pow junkie it was...you get reasonable grades, don't do drugs and figure out how you are going to afford/$ and I will not say no. So she did 60-70 days last year and this year 100+, her senior project was training with Baker's ski patrol, a ski instructor for the past 2 seasons and doing hs and almost has her AA at the community college. So as a parent, I'm jelly...she's livin the dream and hitting bc stuff that most of us can only dream about...and the frickin kid just turned 18.

Here is my 12 year old cruising around having fun. We home school him so we can snowboard all day. I work evenings and he does his school work in the evenings. He has to get good grades if he wants to snowboard and do summer camps like High Cascade and Woodward. If he starts slacking he goes back to public school.... he has a 96 overall average right now and has skipped up a grade.
