Well, it's official, from here on out the days start getting shorter. Yay! For most of us, this upcoming winter has to be better than the last right?

Fuck you fuckee! You PNW'ers had a rockin' winter! I am so glad I got a taste of it. Of course I am rooting for another fantastic season out there. Going to book my annual March trip in just a few months.

All that god damn snow is still sitting on the mountains here in the PNW, ruining my high-elevation hiking needs
(If only I was cool and had a splitboard?)Seriously though, I would like Summer to show it's ugly face. This has been the 3rd wettest June on record, and we've still got 10 days to go...

The date of summer solstice varies from year to year (as does winter solstice and both equinoxen) because the year isn't exactly 365 days long. It can also vary on any particular instance based on what side of the date line you're on, but expressed in GMT it happens at one particular second worldwide.
