How bad is renting?
I have not been snowboarding in years and have only been once. I just wonder how bad it is to rent eqipment? I don't remember much about the equipment from back then but I am now a little more familiar with the equipment since I know quite a few people who do it on a regular basis.

Rented equipment is not bad at all. The equipment such as the boards may not be in the best condition, but its still usable. The matter is the price, it is quite expensive to rent, so if your a frequent skiier/snowboarder i wouldn't keep on renting, buy yourself your own board!

Just check if the equipment to be rented fits into the qualifications of a good snowboarding equipment...

Well, i dont actually think rented items will qualify the best of the best, or good, because you know those places are cheap, and they'll just get equipment that can be used.

definitely rent before you consider buying - nothing worse than buying stuff and then deciding that you don't like it and trying to unload it!
|
Yup, but as i said before, its kind of finding places to rent unless your at the resort. And the prices are VERY pricy, and its disgusting. They totally rip you off.

I rented equipment from sport's chalet and it wasn't so bad. I'd recommend it.

and be careful before you stick your feet into those boots - some of them can be pretty gnarly-smelling!
