New Rider, Aspiring Product Designer - Biggest Issues With Snowboarding
New Ride and New Member
I'm currently doing a project focusing on the problems of snowboards and issues surrounding snowboarding, literally just done my first session to get a better grip on the existing problems that riders may face. Kind of got a small insight from it but nowhere near enough to go on. Would appreciate any thoughts or opinions from more experienced riders than me about the kind of issues and problems riders face with snowboarding from snowboard equipment (goggles, gloves), bindings, injuries to even navigation .... Any opinions would be appreciated |

Lift tickets are too expensive. Gas is expensive. It doesn't snow as much as I would like. It doesn't always snow when I am going riding. Powder gets tracked out and turns mushy when it's sunny out...

i am about to hand you a million dollar idea, simply because i am too lazy to try and launch it - so listen up and give me like 10k once you make a million off this:
goggles with a rubber seal. someone needs to make some goggles with a rubber outer edge instead of foam... on wet days it fucking sucks to have all that wet foam molestering your face, especially if you stop for lunch or something and then have to put that soaking wet foam right back on your shit. thin rubber-to-face gaskets around the edge would be the shit and everyone in the PNW would buy a pair... you're welcome - now go start a snowboard company.

and after you make your millions on a set of goggles with a rubber gasket, you could put some LED lights on a snowboard.
after the LEDboard 1.0 comes out, you can introduce model 1.3 which includes and avy beacon and extra large battery pack...and a toaster for pop-tarts. |

KIRK - gimme a thinner gasket, the ability to breath thru my nose, foam around the lens for it to breath, and some spherical tinted replaceable double-walled lenses and you're there....
