Cheap Way to go out west from east coast?

Hey guys I'm in Atlanta, GA I've been out to Breck, Vail, Keystone a few times that was paid for by my family. Now I'm in college and I want to go out there with some friends I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for how to go out there affordable? I have been looking at college catered ski trips through college travel agencies like echotours.com, collegeskipackages.com, or lifestylez.com? I'm trying to get me and a few friends out west from the east coast and I am trying to find the cheapest option. Please let me know if guys have had any experience with the above or found other options!

Through tomorrow, Southwest has bargain flights Anywhere in the us.

I am going to Denver Jan 7th from Indy for 138.00 round trip.

That might help with a budget trip.

Yeah, I saw that the 40% is awesome depending on the dates I can possibly score a $200 RT flight from ATL to DEN

I'm in college and going on a 6 day trip to Telluride for ~$900 including airfare. It's a lifestylez trip but only open to the University of Illinois ski club. If your school has a ski club I would recommend joining, as you often get good deals on trips, passes, gear, etc. Joining a club is especially good for trips because usually the more people that go, the cheaper it gets.

Shit thanks for the heads up! I'm going to CO in January and just looked it up and I can book a direct flight for $163! That's less than half what my flight normally is. Need to get my shit straight by tomorrow so I don't miss that deal.

Have you ever used lifestylez or any of those college ski booking sites before? I was looking at the reviews for some of them and a lot of people got screwed over in terms of paying extra fees and getting downgraded in their housing? Let me know

Yeah I was a member of my universities outdoors club. We did frequent trips to Jay Peak from Toronto for usually about $400 for the week (including bus, condo, lift tickets and a meal one night).

If you want to do something yourself, try to find a college week or mens week or something at the resort so your lift tickets are cheap, then see if you can get a seat sale around that time. If you can, then book a 4-6 bed room in a hostel for the week. Should make it tons cheaper and most hostels have kitchens so you can cook your own food.

I've stayed in a few and sometimes they're noisy but I never had a bad sleep. They're usually very basic inside but who cares, I'm not there to be pampered, I'm there to snowboard! :D
