Wax in Canada?...

OK, I've read a bunch of threads about how Super Hot Sauce is the shit. I totally want to buy it, but I'm having a hard time justifying $30 shipping for $35 dollars worth of wax.

Where do people buy wax online in Canada? I live 40 minutes from the nearest shop and they only carry Burton, Dakine, and shit like that. For the $20 bucks in gas round trip to go the shop I'd rather just buy online.

I was looking at mec.ca. They don't carry anything snowboard related but they have lots of ski wax. I was thinking either the Toko NF Universal or the Swix Universal.

Thoughts?

I don't suppose anyone knows of a site in Canada that sells Hertel SHS for a decent price? I emailed Hertel to ask them, but no reply as yet.

Thanks,

OD

Unless your a hardcore snowboard racer, don't spend more than $5 on wax, wax is only meant to fill the gaps on your base, which makes your base more smooth and quicker. The difference in speed between $30 waxes and $5 waxes is probably only noticeable in test conditions.

Actually the $35 is for 1.5 lbs so it's not an expensive wax. It's just the shipping from the states that's a pain in my ass. I took for granted living in the states and actually having access to anything you want. This international shipping HST/GST and duties shit is retarded.

So, about that... Not to be a dick but where would this go? The org on this site is a little hit and miss. General snowboarding I guess? The sort of catch all for everything?

Thanks for moving it.

Cool, thanks for the reply. I ordered 2 lbs. of Swix all temp pink shit for like $37. That should last me the whole season even if I compulsively wax my board a 1/2 dozen times before the season starts.

Snow on the mountains this morning! Pre-season rock boarding here I come!

If you can get Toko or Swix, reasonably, do it and don't second guess yourself. Your money is much better spent on lift tickets and beer.....
