use leather - thick leather and make gloves like Kinco 901s, Marmot work gloves and make them no frills and cheap.

use gore-tex with leather for more expensive models- copy the dakine cobras and other gloves with that level of durability.

maybe make one more with a gauntlet for the kooks and charge a lil mo for that one.

Make something like Hestra, but dont make them in China. Leather, goretex, flexible. Removable liners so you can put in warmer or cooler liners depending on the day.

If it's none of the above I might be interested in a marketing job during the winter. I have a degree in web apps programming, researched the hell out of SEO, net marketing, ran affiliate programs. Unfortunately my knowledge base is about 6 years old, in other words a lifetime as far as interwebz go. I'm sure it wouldn't take much for me to catch up if I had a reason to. My work season is pretty much over so I have a lot of free time during the winter.

Oh yeah, and I snowboard

I have a pair of Grenade Mittens. They don't seem to be low quality. I used them last season almost everyday. They are not cold weather mittens, I would wear glove liners under them if it was cold. They have about 100 days on them and no holes. Lots of my stuff has fallen apart before that.

I also use to have the grenade gloves with the Misfits before I lost them. They did not fall apart either. Grenade is successful because they made cool looking gloves. I could not resist the Misfits gloves and had to have them. I like my women specific mittens too. The color scheme was visually appealing and different than the sea of black mittens I saw. Most gloves and mittens are plain black, boring.

Make good quality mittens and gloves in different color schemes to match the different styles on the mountains. Candy Grind is popular here and they have very vibrant products. I wish they made women's gloves, cause they have some spectacular looking gloves that would match my color schemes.

Snowboarding is a visual sport. Hire an artist.
