if it makes you feel better, i drive 2+ hrs through shitty mountain passes to get to steamboat 6 times a season. then 45+ mins to get to my local hill the remaining times i go. (25+ times)

Ya I wouldnt be complaining about that drive either, last season the majority of my 30 days on the mountain was 3.5 hour drives BOTH ways to the mountain on day trips....which is also why im moving to CO

90 minutes is the standard for getting to most of your shred spots from the Metro area. Give or take 10 minutes depending on where you are leaving from and where you are going.

Lol or the south east for that matter. The epic pass cost just as much as a season pass on our hills. And the north east is more expensive for crying out loud.
