Season pass advice for noob?

What's up everybody? I recently moved from the East Coast to Greeley, CO, and am looking to get into snowboarding. I've been a few times back east, and once in Korea. I picked it up very quickly and am looking to get into it here in CO.

I'm trying to find a reasonably priced season pass for a decent resort. Everyone says that Breck is one of the best, but Wow! A pass is expensive.
I'm not looking for the best resort, but I will not be happy with a blue/green resort for long.

I guy in my class that rides recommended Keystone, so I've been checking out the website. Are there any other resorts worth checking out? What do you guys do for season passes?

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks:dunno:

First off, check out the various Epic passes by Vail resorts, the cheapest one, about $450, includes Keystone, A-basin, and Breck (with a few blackout days at breck).

2nd, have u looked at a map? cuz summit county, much less vail are all a trek and a half for you on any kind of day trip, which pretty much leaves you with Eldora which is pretty limited and not very in the mountains, or Loveland which is almost 2 hours from Greeley.

Not sure what kind of trips u plan to take, if its for big blocks of time then distance doesn't matter really.

Note most passes will go up in price by various increments throughout the season before they become unavailable.

Thanks man. I've been thinking about checking out a 4 pack from loveland pass. I dont imagine I will get many chances to stay for more than a day at a time. From what I have heard, Loveland Pass is a couple of hours away. I guess I could always get up super early, and try to get there by a decent time. Thanks again.

If your planning on riding 7 days or more at any of the Vail resorts just get the Epic Pass but you better do it soon cuz they stop selling them on the 18th. After that your gonna pay out your ass for lift tix

A pass to Breck is still cheap compared to a lot of other areas. Just wish they would stop creeping up the price every year.

Loveland has a beginner lesson program that once you complete it, you get a season pass. Not a bad way to go for a first timer. Loveland would also be one of the closest areas to Greeley. Just a thought.

Do you know off hand about how far away Loveland is from Longmont? I just looked at their website. That beginner program seems like a pretty good deal.
