Any time I go back to something that once made me fear for my life, get to the bottom, and think, "I used to have trouble with THAT?"

every time i do something new is the proudest... just gotta keep progressing in some little way.

but for some reason, waiting until the lifts had closed on fernie one day, and then just launching a floaty BS1 method off a booter with a landing so smooth, it was silent...

with no one else there.

i love that after each day of riding i can think back at what i did that day and realize what new stuff i was able to do. having a feeling of progression and accomplishment feels great.

my very proudest moment though was definitely my first day. i couldn't get any of my lazy ass friends to go with me, so i went by myself, didn't take a lesson, and could link turns within about 2 hours. i had been wanting to snowboard for years, and i finally could. i sort of rubbed it in my friends' faces too, becuase they said they fell a million times at first, and said i would too.

Proud moments gosh so many. I have to say that Jay peak has a thing for me and proud moments, every time I go I manage to accomplish so many things. The most recent would be double black glades that I managed to do (without plowing my way down, it was real riding). Jay peak can be so challenging, you can find new things to do there everyday.

i'd have to say it was back in january on the first day i was at whistler. they'd been getting a ton of snow and the conditions were ridiculous around the harmony lift. i got tired of riding with the skier folks i was with because they'd take like 5 or 6 turns and then stop every time, so i tracked back a little further than them around harmony ridge and eventually found myself perched on top of boomer bowl. i guess i was the first person back there that morning because it was a pristine, untouched knee to waist deep powder field. i dropped in and got face shots the whole way down while giggling incessantly. it was a tough call on whether or not to tell my companions about the find..

My proudest moment was riding up alongside TJ and giving him a little smack sending him into full blown panic. It ended with him taking us out then crying about "playing safe"

Damn I wish I had that on film. It was fucking high-larry-us.

Binghamton university in New York. Also, I've met a few kids on the mountain that go to Cornell and they have the same type of class for credits.
