Not liking the neutral phase this winter so far

Today is going to be a great shorts day, and much of Dec looks to be the same. This outlook looks to be much of the same for the rest of the US as well.

Suuposed to be a high of 60 in NYC today and tomorrow.

Although, I think the temps will drop on Wednesday.

Currently 71 here in Atlanta. They raised today's high temp to 75. The engineers and I went outside and played a game of bocce ball during lunch.

Lowest temp all week will be 44. Its like early spring. This happens a fair bit down here in early winter, but not usually for a 1-2 week stretch at a time.

It's a fricken heat wave here, 41 in December is ridiculous. I'm ice fishing right now and I had to take my jacket off. Really hoping this isn't a repeat of last year.

Being in North Carolina I understand that and the weird part is our mountains have prob got just as much snow as the Rockies this winter so far.

Yea going to NY/Vermot for New Years this year and was hoping to get some boarding in. Seems that might be a challenge if the weather stays the same.

High for wednesday is 82 and we will be lingering around that same temp all week except at night....

Sitting here in the balmy mid-Atlantic today I can't help but wonder if we are going to be fucked again as we were last year. Several weeks ago forecasters were saying to watch out for the beginning of December for cold to set in here in MD, PA, VA....and here we are, 12/3, with temps in the upper 60's and more above normal temps in the forecast for the next few days. Now I am hearing that the cold will set in after the 10th. Just seems like the same broken record from last year. Predictions, and probably a lot of wishcasting for cold spells and snowstorms that never came.

The funny thing is, i have family that lives in Glasgow, Scotland and they have been getting slammed with snow and cold temps for the past few years. This is an area that historically only receives about 3 snow days on average per year but here they are, getting dumped on while typical snowy areas in the American West and East for that matter are pretty much snow-less.

When I hear about shit like this I seriously want to find the nearest climate change denier and punch them in the fucking throat.

things are picking up over here.. good storms not hitting until the beginning of December is pretty average around the Northwest.. these days...

Last year wasn't too bad for me, living near South West MI. There's a really good local hill called Bittersweet that got dumped with lake-effect snow from Lake Michigan.

I went to CO earlier this year for spring break, rode for 4 days.
First day was dark, freezing cold and everything was frozen solid, which sucked.
Second day it was about knee-deep powder. This was the best day, and we pretty much just did tree runs
The last 2 days were warm and slushy. We went in our t-shirts and were mostly in the terrain parks, which is what slush is best for!

Weird how the weather and conditions can change so quickly. I'm hoping this year is going to be much better than the crap we had last year. It's raining and room-temperature outside.
It better snow soon...
