Fuck Burton!! Of course they can afford to be generous since all their over priced crap is now made in sweat shops in China.

Just kidding, someone HAD to say it That is a great response, look forward to the pics and vids

TELL THEM TO MAKE ME ANOTHER T7!!! Mine's starting to fall apart...

Yeah I don't think there's much Burton hate here. Unfortunately for me they stopped making the kind of boards I'm interested in, so I'm replacing my T7 with another brands board.

For what it's worth, this board has been pretty much bulletproof. It was driven over by an SUV, I had ran tip first into trees/rocks, etc. The only weak link is the topsheet. I have several cracks on my topsheet from rocks that didn't even make it to the core. Seems that the core flexes enough to transfer energy to the topsheet where it's spent making spider cracks.

I can see why they stopped making aluminium honeycomb boards, but for my taste they just ride so nice! I will be keeping this board as my early/late season board for sure. Not sure my new $$$ board would handle the beating I've given this one. I know for sure I don't want to find out!

that's pretty cool of them to do that, offering up a plant tour just to inspire people. It's good that they didn't just duck out and gave you stickers and crappy stuff. Reminds me of that guy who sent Samsung USA a hand drawn picture of a dragon and got an exclusive-skinned Dragon Galaxy SIII from Samsung in return. Sometimes, companies do care. Sometimes.

Personally I don't hate on Burton because they make some quality products. I bought my Cartels just from word of mouth and the globally good reviews it received. Then again I wouldn't buy a Burton board for the reason that Lib Tech and Never Summer are putting out better stuff right now. If it performs well, I could care less about the blind hate from others.

I don't hate on Burton. I use my experience to help others when asked. In this case, I tell them about all the Burton products I had that fell apart long before their time, (including 2 sets of bindings) and how after replacing them with another brand I had a better product and a longer usage time with it. Then I tell them it was cheaper.

Then, you have their business practices that is a whole other can of worms.

Anyways, hope this doesn't derail. Just my 2 cents and interesting story from the OP.
