I wish I could afford a plane ticket this summer. There is currently snow in the smokies and it is tempting to find an open spot and have a grand ole time. stupid southeast.

My mountain closes on May 4th, and should be open again sometime around mid October. After they close I'll still have some riding to do but I'll have to earn it. I prefer chairlifts myself. Mid summer I can always go hit St. Mary's (used to be considered a glacier but now just an icy slushy hill).

When the fuck did we get ice cream?

Balls-deep powder in Gifu early December last year, hoping for more of the same this year. Conditions should be better further north (Nagano, Niigata), then Hokkaido gets fun in January.

I'm seriously looking into moving to Portland next year... bikes, beer, and year-round snowboarding !

Junior in college? or high school? I meant college. You said you were looking for a college so I just assumed you were in high school
