I have flat feet and tried two different insoles before finding SOLE thin sports. I have ~15 days on the insoles last year and when I first used them, they immediately got rid of 99% of my foot pain. I went to Stratton yesterday for the first day of my third season. I ended up in some pretty bad pain and had to take my boots off twice mid run to relieve the pain. Could this just be first day pain or should I look into buying a new pair of the SOLE insoles?

I'm on my 3rd season of sole...not the thin ones, they feel fine, but my first day or two my feet kind of tweak out. Yesterday did my first ever splitty skin tour and my calves are toast but my feet are great.

I usually get some minor niggling pain at the start of each season as my feet and legs get used to riding again. If it doesn't go away after a few days I'll then think about treating it or making some change to my gear, but more often than not things sort themselves out soon enough.

Pre-load on Advil. I take about 4 advil BEFORE I start boarding to reduce the impending swelling of my feet. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd times are always rough for me.... feet wise, shape wise, ect.
Once you get back into the groove, everything becomes like butter... |

How tight are your boots tied? How tight are you strapping your bindings down? I have flat feet too. I use Dr Scholls arch supports. I dont like to tie the 'toe' part of my boot that tight, but cinch the ankle/calf part down fairly tight. I also use toe caps instead of the old school over the top of the toe strap which seems to make a difference. I go pretty snug but not as tight as I can possibly go on my ankle strap.
I also prefer a thinner (Volcom) snowboard sock as opposed to a really think snowboard sock that I used to wear. A little more room for my foot to move around rather than cinching it down super tight and forcing the flat foot scenario. To to Walmart and try that Dr Scholls foot thing. They're like 40 bucks. I really like them. If you arent happy with them you can send them back and get your $ back. Worth a shot.
