Ice Breakers Snowboard Edge Test - YouTube
This is pretty much a video I found where they tried to test out the different techs from different companies in terms of edge hold on ice (eg frost bite from burton, MTX from Lib etc etc) too bad they didnt try out a NS board with vario side cut.... Just wanted to hear what you guys think/experiences with the different brands of edge hold on ice ?

Pretty cool, though would have been nice if they actually did a ranking at the end. But I can see The House not wanting to rate a board they carry low. As the vid says nothing will beat a sharp edge. I have ridden vario, magne (Smokin') and just regular radial edges on serious after a rain then a hard freeze crust and the mag did make a difference. Not that the others were bad but that bit of added confidence was nice. However to be fair the Smokin's were flat camber so it was a bit easier to engage the edges than on the Never Summer.

Thought they would have given some ratings at the end myself. Seemed pointless without. |

It's the house they're pointless to begin with. Don't trust anything those fucktards say.
