I am 6'4 and proportional and I just look like a space cadet while wearing a helmet. I usually do not ride with a helmet but this season I am thinking of going HAM in the park.
Anyone else feel like that? lol |

Seriously, that's entirely subjective. You'll feel slightly dorky (for no good reason) for the first 5 minutes, then nada.
If you're really concerned about it, take 5 to look at the brands of helmets other people are wearing, then go buy the same.

Yeah, dude don't worry. I was at Beaver Creek this weekend and some buddies and me had a big discussion on the subject...and in the end we all came to the same conclusion that any boarder/skier without a helmet has become the more oddball look. I mean pretty much any board I know with more than a few years of experience, has a helmet.
Just find one you like, and go ride. |

my riding buddy thanks me for getting him to wear a helmet, a couple years ago hauling ass in some fresh at Stevens Pass backside, he got squirrely and hit a tree head first, he was a little dizzy, but looking at his helmet closer showed that it was completely split in half from his forehead to the top.
Originally I bought one because I had two young kids, but now that I've been wearing one for approx 10 years, the biggest reason I like riding with a helmet is because, when you go over the bars and start cartwheeling, your goggles dont move or end up flying off of your head only to never be seen again |

Try different helmets.
I rode with a K2 Rant all last season and felt like a storm trooper every time I threw it on. Two weeks back, I stopped in my local shop, tried on a Bern Watts and was blown away at the difference in fit and profile. I was sold. |

I just had my Bern Baker jacked from Sauveur in Quebec, I ordered another on the next day, they are my favorite so far. Warm enough on the cold days, cool enough on the warm days.
Look at the Bern line |
