SHIT!!!! I really gotta stop watchin' that bitch!!! Reporting on Big Sky MT., I just saw clips where they got another 20 in. of POW!!! (...Lot's of shots of boarders on the lifts wearing shiteatin' grins!!)
Big Sky was the spot I was hopin' to go for my 1st Big Mountain vacation this Jan., but the finances just haven't stacked up in my favor!! SHIT, SHIT, SHIT!!! ![]() ...Once again, here we are in MI. getting all "squiggly" over the local bunny hills opening 1 or 2 runs for a day with barely 12 in. of man made. You know the stuff I'm talkin' about, White cement with BIG patches of Brown!!! ...if we don't get some "Freakin'" WINTER around here soon, I may just have to say "Fuckit", put myself into bankruptcy, and take that trip anyfreakin'way!!!! (...not kidding either, I'm already on the edge of financial meltdown as it is!)

You live if fucking Michigan, you might just need to accept the fact that resorts out west are going to get a shit load more snow than you do. You dont need to report to us each time you get butt mad that somewhere else gets snow and you didnt.

I live in the Colorado Rockies and we aint getting snow either in my parts
![]() When's it our turn to get dumped on? We are suppose to have about 300 inches a year and nothing even close to that fell last season. With the possibility of a second bad season I feel your pain. ON the bright side I have rode 3 excellent seasons with evening jobs, so i do have lots of powder days to brag about.

Dude...no sympathy.
It sounds like you really have a passion for snowboarding. If it means that much to you, why don't you move away from one of the worst places in the world to snowboard (-places that actually receive snow) ? Move to the PNW - Washington, Oregon: -Some of the most annual snowfall in the world. -Consistent powder -Year round riding -Great place to live -TREES! -Tons of resorts around Move to California - Mammoth/Tahoe -Great resorts -LOTS of resorts -Great annual snowfall -It's California, it's awesome -Terrain! Move to Utah - Salt Lake City -Big city/downtown -40 Minutes away from 12 resorts -Park City if you want the small ski town vibe -Amazing snow -Great annual snowfall (500"+) -Great terrain for any kind of riding you can imagine Move to Colorado -So many resorts -Great place to live -Decent snowfall Move to Idaho. -Great resorts -Great snow and terrain -Awesome backcountry -Close to SLC/Jackson/PNW/MT -Similar to Utah minus a million people or so Move to Wyoming - Jackson. -Do I really need to list reasons? |

![]() I was simply trying to have a little fun while venting some of my frustration over another crappy late, Late start to the season around here and laughing over the irony that coincidentally, my vacation plans to the Very resort I saw on that WC report didn't pan out!! That's all! I thought, I was doing so quite obviously tongue in cheek! (...and based on most of the weather reports I've seen for the country, I sort of figured there would be a few people here who would empathize! God only knows, NONE of the Non-Snowboarders empathize!!! They're Lovin' this warm, no-snow shit!!!) I mean really???!!! ...better snow out west in the mountains??? Honest Injun??? Why did nobody inform me of this earlier??? Look, I'm definitely not trying to piss you off or start a flame war,.. both you guy's have provided some very informative and helpful replies to some of my questions here, and I really appreciate the expertise, help & advice! I really do!! I've even laughed my ass off at the (...sometimes harsh) sarcastic responses & put downs given to some of my stupid NooB shit! I took it in the spirit I assumed it was given, partly in jest, and partly to "Get the NooB Schooled!!" As such, I chalked it up to being part of "Paying My Dues" around here while I learned What's What!!!! The sarcastic humor & irreverent attitude is part of what I liked about this forum!! But to be honest,..? Those replies just seemed a little mean spirited and quite frankly,.. unnecessarily "Pissy"!! Again, I'm NOT trying to disrespect either of you,.. I just can't for the life of me figure out why this post seems to have Irked you so? My apologies for wasting All the bandwidth by posting it in the first place! K?? BTW,.. Once I am in a position financially to do so, I Fully Intend to move!!! ...because, YES!! ...I do like this sport, THAT MUCH!!! (If I had discovered this sport 25 years ago while I was still living in CA.??? Today, I'd be a 52 year old "Snow Bum" workin' @ the Starbucks on the mountain just so I could ride every day!!!) [later edit] ...of course upon further reflection, It's entirely possible that in my "Angst" & frustration over "where's the snow"??? I might, just might mind you, have taken your comments FAR too personally!!!!! ![]()

It seems to me, and I could be wrong, but.... there's a lot of these where's the snow threads. Well the snow is in places that are suppose to get snow. The pnw is doing pretty good, out here in Tahoe it's looking pretty good, Utah is decent, so that's where the snow is. It's deffenetly winter out here, where I live highs have been high 40s, and I'm an hour down the hill from Tahoe.
