I turned on the TV this afternoon and caught a show on the discovery channel called Snow Men. I dont know if its just one show or a series(cant find much info on it) but its pretty interesting. Its about avalanche forecasting and UDOT plowing in LCC. Of course its over dramatized but it gives you a good behind the scenes look at all the work that needs to be done to keep the road open and safe. Its pretty cool to seeing a bunch of areas I like to play in featured on a major network. I recomend checking it out if you can find when its on again.

I imagine the round explodes into a million peices and/or is enviromentally friendly. The real danger is when it doesnt explode upon impact. Certain trailheads have signs warning you about dud shells that might be lying around. And upon further research, this show is a couple years old so this might be a re post.
