I'm gonna get my first board, a Rome Machine 154, and bindings, Rome Targas, by the end of May.

So I am new to buying new equipment, but I have learned a bit in here. isn't the machine way soft and the targas way stiff? I am not sure what sure what type of riding you are doing but the combo just doesn't match up here.

Edit:

Oh ok now I remember, Snow advice you about the slash and the flag instead of the machine, in the other thread

i think we'll just have to take your board(s) hostage so that you can understand the emotions we're going through since we actually have an off season

I must of read it wrong or something, I think some people were complaining about the stiffness of the targas compared to the 390's

Yeah, I am looking at something other than the targas (390s?). But the Machine isn't THAT soft. The Palmer Flash... That's soft.

LOL! You aren't weird. Another downside is when something new comes out next season that I really want!

Yeah, but an UPSIDE to buying gear at the end of the season and not the beginning is that if the board is really cheaply made but has good stats, people will start complaining and by the end of the season, you know not to buy it. Same for bindings etc.
