I wax my boards but I have never done my own edges. That said I need some advice on good edge sharpeners that will last me some time (good quality). I saw this on on REI, is it good? Swix 6-Way Tuner - Free Shipping at REI.com
And if you have any advice on sharpening please don't hold back. Thanks and Merry Christmas! |

looks interesting, but you can find cheaper ones.
I use the tools4boards brand. It also does everything and cost less...mine even came with a bonus panzar file (bought it 6 years ago, so that deal probably no longer exists) don't go the cheap $10 model route. It only has one side bevel and no base. The main problem is you're eventually going to be running into sidewall, so you're gonna need a panzar file to shave it, anyhow.
