So what exactly's going to happen to Forum and "The Program"?

I'm sure by now everyone knows that Burton has dropped Forum, Foursquare, and Special Blend.
My question is, what exactly does this mean? Are they going to remain their own companies (possibly be bought out by someone else?), or are they going to be non existent?

This personally saddens me, because I've always loved Forum boards and who can forget their past teams and films?

I hope that if they do get bought out, that they don't become another M3, Lamar, Morrow type story. I would rather see them end with some dignity than to become a cheap bundle type brand sold on amazon or big box stores.
