Default Skipping out on work for the first time

So tomorrow I will be skipping out on work for the first time ever to go snowboarding. I have a fairly large issue with being away from work for some reason, not exactly sure why. Anyways my local hill is set to get 25cm overnight and then continue snowing all day the next day. Tomorrow should be around 40cm to 50cm in the past 24hrs. Since my wife will be out of town on the weekend I will not be able to go then so tomorrow seems like a good of day as any. I am super stoked to be up there on a weekday as I have only made weekends until tomorrow. I know this is hardly news worthy, but I am super fucking stoked and can't wait. Got a brand new micro-sd for the Contour and hopefully record a ton of faceshots!

Sick, skipping school to go boarding on Thursday. Its so awesome when you know people are working and your enjoying the freshies. Also, since its midweek means no lift lines. Pow field to yourself.

Yeah, it's snowing like crazy in the North Okanagan as well, I'll be riding tomorrow. I have no problem with taking off a day of work when conditions are like this. Life is too short.

i take days off of work all the time to go boarding, and I don't feel bad about it.

I get 4.5 weeks of vacation while the wife only gets 2 a year, so I have to have something to spend those extra days on when she's out of vacation

That's EXACTLY what I do except I only get 4 weeks... I bust my ass in the summer so I can board all winter while the rest of the people are in their cubicles!

welcome to my life, I've been riding for 27 years now and for the last 15+ years, I've only ridden weekdays. Every year for my b-day my wife buys me a mid-week only pass ($249) at Stevens. I'm lucky enough to have a job that I save all but one week of my vaca for the winter, having two of my riding buds work there also, means 95% of the time I'm riding with friends. We always laugh that our sick days for the last 20 years are exactly the same and it looks like tomorrow isn't going to be any different, four of us are heading up.

I guarantee you, this wont be your last day missing work, welcome to the party

I am trying to get another guy to skip out but he is being a bitch. I started riding late compared to most so my skill level isn't what it is for most my age. I do wish I had some people to ride with more often that's for sure. It gets lonely some days out there. Though I would rather be riding alone than not riding, that's for sure!
