Thumbs up A-Basin is still looking nice and strong

I was browsing around and look how nice A-basin is still looking. It makes me wanna plan another trip lol ,

A few brown spots here and there but beats no snow at all

I think there are a few of our members hit the Basin every now and them, enjoy I think you guys have a few weeks left of fun.

Personally I think they could run the upper part of the mountain for a little longer, but I guess is not profitable any more.

Yes, it has been very nice the past three weekends. They do keep getting more snow up there. Minimal rocks and brown spots. Half the mountain was closed for the season this past week. No more Pali, East Wall or Montezuma Bowl. It's some nice corn snow with lots of fun terrain still open. I was hitting some jumps and dropping the West Wall cornice on Sunday. My back ankle is a little sore right now. Some nice bumps and chutes could be found if you knew where to look. I'll be back on Sunday.

Some friends and I did drop the east side of Loveland Pass a week ago. Very nice too.

I've got to agree that A-Basin hasn't been bad, but honestly I wouldn't plan any kind of trip over it if I was you. I was there saturday and the grey and brown spots are starting to poke their ugly heads but I didn't see many rocks as of yet. 3 weeks ago when I went there was a miraculous 10" or so of pow which was nice. I live pretty close to A-Ba and my weather is usually pretty close to what they have and I've been seeing a grip of rain lately, meaning that conditions there will probably be taking a downward spiral here shortly. I HATE summer Oh and like you said, it definitely beats no snow at all, and beats and icy windy fucked up January day also.

When the fuck did we get ice cream?

I just posted a bit about the basin over in the location reviews..

I've been the past 4 weekends and most recently on Monday.

things are not that bad, starts to get soft and slow down around noon.

stick to the steeper blues and use the elevation change to your advantage and you shouldn't have a problem making it work for you up to closing.

depending on how things go, I'll be back up there again on Saturday...

June 8th is the last day... so get some while you can or you'll have to wait at least 4 months till it starts to snow again.

Nah I can't afford to do right now, that was a little sarcasm. Right now I am hocked to Wake boarding, I can't get enough of it . I am glad I found a off season sport to keep me in shape .

I know plenty of people who will be getting turns through August. It's just a matter of how bad you want it and how hard you want to work for it. Me, I am hanging on cliffs these days.

Where is this in relation to Pueblo?

One of my good friends lives in Pueblo, and invited us to go there this coming season so that we can make the trek to Breckenridge.

Today looks like employee day at A-Basin. I see people hitting the slopes. The season ended there yesterday.
