What worries me more is that I ride a lot of steep treed runs by myself, and if I ever broke my leg or punctured a lung or something in there, it could get dicey! I always have my cell with me but reception can't be trusted up there. One thing is to always know where you are, in a way that you can describe to somebody on the phone. Luckily my GF is getting to the point that she wants to ride with me in a lot of the treed bowls now, so I've got a partner more often now than before!  All the hard work is paying off!!!

But I know that at the first pow storm ill be prob out there alone. Kwood is pretty safe too, but you can get in trouble if you don't pay attention. Happened more than once.

Scary to watch, and that was actually a really good outcome. Glad the guy's okay.
BTW, did anyone watch the video of the Russian firerighter who got hit by the roof cornice? It's the next video in the queue at the moment. That had to hurt. |
