End of Colorado lift served season

We had a mix of everything yesterday at A-Basin. Fresh powder, strong winds, sunny skies, and snowing at 3 PM.

Depending on elevation or exposure you could find slush, powder, ice, and anything in between. It was fun in the various terrain. There was still a tremendous amount of terrain open. In addition we saw many celebrities and superhero's. Sightings included: Jesus, Elvis, Mrs. Superfoot, banana, & bunny outfits. I think I was the only person wearing a hula skirt. My ankle finally gave out around 3 so we packed up and went home.

anyone know of any worthwhile liftless snowboarding during the summer? I don't know much about the St. Mary's scene and I'm considering trekking out to Oregon for some Mt Hood action. If there's something worth it out here it could save me a couple thousand dollars in gas, which would be nice.

Independence Pass, Sundance Bowl, Ptarmigan Glacier, Radio Beacon, Jame Peak, Skywalker Couloir, a myriad of 14'ers. I am pretty sure there are still shots to be had at Berthoud and Loveland Passes. There is a lot of stuff that can be done. I am probably going to do Sundance in Rocky Mountain National Park this Saturday. Plenty of turns are out there, it's just a matter of how much work you are willing to do for it and how early you will get moving. Most things these days are unsafe to be on by 11am.
