Although I have never had that particular experience, it's not uncommon when you get slammed hard to feel it in the colon. It's also not uncommon when you lose consciousness to lose control as well.
So, yeah it's probably embarrassing. But it's not odd.
One of my rugby mates actually fully shit himself after taking a gnarly hit in game, pretty fucking funny. Last when i bruised my tailbone i swore i blew out my asshole. Hardpack + ass is no bueno.
It's more common than you'd think, especially for park riders. If you land on your butt hard enough you can trigger a spasm.
I've had the spasm happen twice and I had to clench insanely hard both times to avoid a very messy walk home. Never had anything come out, but pretty dam close.
Quoted for truth. Last year early season, I hit a jump at Stevens pass called the waterfall. Over shot the landing a bit to much and landed hard on my ass bone. Thought I shit myself and went strait to the bathroom clenching. Didn't poop myself but I thought I did. Damn painful and it ended my day.
Yeah, kind of glad to see that video - I was gonna say that maybe you should head to the ER because that can't be good. Really didn't know it was that common.
Kind of embarrassed that I've never heard of it to be honest....
Lol yes I definitely checked for blood when I got home, figured if its hard enough to make you shit yourself then it cant be that far from internal bleeding.
When I hike 14'ers in the summer, I inevitably do not have to shit the whole prehike, or anytime in the woods, it always hits me like a ton of bricks at about 13k on the way UP (treeline is at about 11.7) :storm: so brutal.
I lost it all the way into my shoes on top of a roof in Nebraska on a super hot summer day when I was drinking alot of Budweiser at night.
Yeah, I slammed on my ass trying to ride switch about a month ago. I thought I had either shit or blood running down my leg. Thought I may have ruptured something. Not a nice experience.
Never happened to me, but when I was teaching my GF how to snowboard last year she fell on some ice so hard on her tailbone that it caused her to pee herself. I was amazed that she still wanted to learn to snowboard after that.
lol well I'm sure he had more of a WTF? Feeling than an embarrassed feeling but hey I don't think any less of the guy. As he just proved, it can happen to the best of us.:yahoo:
