Why must my local resort suck so much!

There is an airbag coming to the tiny resort local to the St. Louis area. Instead of putting it on one of the runs away from the main lifts they are putting out front where you have to ride the lift used by all the beginners. It is a 310ft hill and having the lift stop 3 time on the way to the top is not uncommon. Not to mention the long lines where you once again have to deal with the newbs. Their reason for this. They want it viewable from the lodge. What purpose does that serve? Anyone not going to the other runs shouldn't be on the airbag.

This is just the latest in the shit management of the resort. Stuff like having no clue how to build jumps. (Think super tall poppy ramps with short mellow step down landings.) Closing the park 5 hours before close on a Saturday night to begin rebuilding the features. Not having real beginner features for working out new tricks. Not grooming the landings of features for an entire 18 hour weekend day while grooming the run up once an hour. Never being clear on their facebook or website what is and isn't open and what is built.

What makes all this worse is that I was at Snowstar in the quad cities Saturday. A resort that is even smaller. In 4 hours there I had more fun then 5 times I've been to my local. They had jumps that were made correctly. Plenty of stuff for people of all skill. And that was despite the fact that the airbag was there and the whole layout had to be changed away from what they were used to. And they put the airbag away from the main run and out of site of the lodge.

I feel your frustration!!!
You have seen the pics of my park that I have posted. We also have smaller hills under 2 hour drive that have "great park set-ups"
I know our park manager is 50/50 on taking suggestions and input for users. I so wish they would listen to the riders.

Not all riders are helpful in their input but it doesn't take long nor a rocket scientist to figure out who is sincerely and is truly trying to help.

Keystone has annoying fences in the beginner park. I have been cruising through there. The first feature is a ride on big box that's embedded in the ground. It's an easy slut. I feel like I am pro when I hit it. I 270 on and spin around a bunch. It's so fun. One day I continued to spin around off it on the ground. I hit one of the fences with my tail and fell. I got really pissed and pulled the fence up. I threw it like I was a gorilla. Then I stormed off and pulled 2 other fences up. I have anger issues.

I hate the fences. They create a lot of hazards. There's been so many close calls because of the fences. They have them all over the beginner park and at the entrance. The one at the entrance is the most dangerous. To avoid being collided with I have pulled it up and I ollied over it when it was twisted. They put the fence all the way across the entrance which use to be 10 feet wide. Now there are two 2 feet wide entrances in awkward areas. People are getting close to others trying to squeeze in there, not safe!

I wonder what idiot calls the shots on the safety fencing. Last season they were even worse. They had them on the runs. Now it's like they put all the ones that were on the runs up in the small park.

I hate them. It's like the mountain is punishing me for being a wuss.
