Hell, there is usually a big snowfall in September around here. Enough snow to get some powder turns with sparks flying off your base. By mid to late October Loveland and A-Basin will certainly be open. Probably just the ribbon, but it's a start. I can go with the late start to the season again, if it takes off and finishes out like it did last year.

I can't wait until snowboarding season!

But the oonly thing is I really need a new board, but my mom won't let me orde rone until winter. By then alot of them will probably be gone and the prices will be higher. >.> And I found some boards that fell in love with. They will so be gone by then.

Hey Banshee,

I feel your pain.

Have you carefully explained the economics to your Mom? A secret about us women - we go nuts about finding shopping bargains. It must be genetic, we need to and look for shopping bargains. What have you used as your sales pitch? Try typing up an official looking market analysis for her and print it out. Show price comparisons. This will let her know you are serious about this and that it is a bargain RIGHT NOW with LIMITED SUPPLY. Full prices are in effect one month after Labor Day. Women don't like paying full price. Use the keywords: bargain, limited supply, and full price in your sales pitch. Be professional in your approach. Best time to approach her is after you helped her for at least an hour with something around the house - for example - laundry, meals, house cleaning.

Another item. Who's paying for the board? You, your Mom, or some other method? If you are contributing towards payment, this shows serious interest. There is still some summer left...earn some cash and tell her it's going towards the board.

If you play your cards right, you may get your board still.

Good luck

It will be here soon enough. Its amazing how quick a Summer flies particularly when having fun.

In two weeks starts our state fair which is the unofficial end of Summer for us. One week later is the Fall snowboard/ski sale there. Its actually going to get down to 71 this week with cold fronts moving down from Canada.

Geese are gettin outta here. I noticed the leaves have surpassed their peak green color. Ohhh dont worry the real pretty ones will be here in 30 days. Plants are almost ready for picking which is good. Ohh yea the Pumpkins will be out soon. Next thing u know out come the xmas lights. Before u know it its east coast meet time and hopefully west coast meet time.

So.... I guess you all can now look at your equipment with the realization....it will be summer 2009 again in a snap!
