Now since I'm sure most of us on this forum are all gear whores, I thought this would be a fun topic.
I'm in the mood to buy something snowboard related. I don't really NEED anything but I'm just in that mood to gear whore it up. My current gear: Boards: NS Heritage X NS Revolver Ride Crush Bindings: Ride Capo Ride Rodeo Burton Cartel Regional Love Edit Boots (hate you guys): Salomon Synapse Burton Ruler Accessories: 2x Electric Eg2 Smith Variant Brim Various Gloves and mittens Various pants and jackets Various other neck gaiters and things like that Ok now with that out of the way, lets try to think of something to buy to compliment my gear that I have now or to add something that I am just missing and don't even know about. Now before people come in with "just get out there and ride", I do. Every weekend, I would love to be hitting the powder right now in Vail but I'm at work and I'm bored. So lets do this. I consider myself a master, ney, legend when it comes to buying things I dont need. Looking at your gear I see a multitude of holes.
Id look at the following: -Ditch your "various gloves" and get a pair of hestra gloves for warmer weather, and a pair of hestra mits when it gets cooler. The mobility is second to none. -Get some NOW IPO bindings -Ditch your various pants/jackets and get a top of line goretex or equivalent shell with marino base layers. - go pro or contour Not knowing how serious you are about what you're willing to drop, but if you are over the age of 25, and even somewhat a self respecting man then skip the snowbaord gear and get yourself a proper horological piece. Skip over over marketed "pretty" brands with cheap pedestrian movements inside like TAG, Panari or Bell and Ross and jump into something worthy of handing down to your male off spring like a Patek, Lange, Vacheron or Glaschutte. While not technically snowboarding gear you should have one none the less even while boarding. |
