So I am looking at turning a couple of decks into split boards this year. What geometry works better for splitting? We both have several boards that we could split but I am wondering whether to use a regular camber board or a hybrid rocker camber.
My question is, if you are in split mode, does camber give you much better hiking ability? I am pretty good at all types of fabrication, and the process looks pretty easy. I just don't want to split a 600 dollar board and the. Realize I would have been better off using an older regular camber board that I don't really ride anymore? |

From my experience the only area that actually has a real grip effect is under your heel so the rest of the board having less contact makes no difference as it wont grip much out there anyway.
