Default Google Maps, Now With Ski Resorts

For those of you who haven't seen it, Google is adding ski resort runs to their mapping software. It's more like what you might be used to in terms of navigating with your phone, but the part that seems interesting to me is that they are adding pictures you can click to see what the runs look like from certain views.

Apparently, it's going to ramp up in February but they have a few already listed if you want to see what it's like.

You can zoom in on a lot of resorts with google maps and the runs will show up when you get close enough. Zoom in on Whistler, then grab the guy and drop him on a run like you would for google street view. Then you can go down the run like you do on streets.

Haha holy shit, it took them forever to do this - I remember being at solitude 3 years ago and seeing a snowmobile drive by with one of those big google map cameras on it.

Found me and my buddy

Awe, they blurred your faces. Email Google and tell them you want to sign a release form so they can un-blur your faces. Awesome you found yourself though!
