The basin Usually beats loveland in the opening, but who who knows maybe this year it will change. I cant wait till I move to the Rockies next year.

A Basin has only beaten Loveland the past two years - when A-Basin added snowmaking capabilities. Before that Loveland ruled supreme for many years. Keystone used to always be in competition with Loveland about 10 years ago. They now decline to compete. It will be nice when anyone opens.

Well 6" at the tunnel and counting. Pretty amusing for August. So day, it's not looking good for the scooter rally with all the rain. Then again it's not looking good for much but drinking today...

did not know that. but I am pretty sure they will stay that way for a while now. They beat for a lot last season. I think it was more than a week.

It's raining in Denver, predicted to do it all day. 5,000 ft higher than where I am at it's snowing at a good clip. I doubt there will be enough to slide on but it's kewl none the less. Overall it doesn't mean a thing for this upcoming season and it will all melt by Monday.

You can see some of the snow on the I70 traffic cameras, just keep scrolling down on that page.

When you have mountain passes that top out at over 11k ft, it's easy to get snow even in the middle of the summer. Great escape from the heat when it's bad in Denver too.

It snowed at my house in Silverthorne and the top of Breck and some of the higher up runs look like they did at the end of the season.
