Default Foot of snow in the Rockies?

I think this is a little rosey but local weather is predicting a foot of snow along the higher peaks of the continental divide. Berthoud, Indian Peaks, Mt Evans and such are supposed to get some of this. Some of the permanent snowfields could be fun on Saturday.
Quote:
Locations such as Rocky Mountain National Park, the Indian Peaks Wilderness, Berthoud Pass, and Mount Evans could see up to a foot of snow. However, the warm ground will prevent much of that snow from accumulating...
A little early to get overly excited but pretty kewl none the less.

Yeah, I posted the same over on Epic yesterday.

Unfortunately, I and several hundred people will be terrorizing the general populace of Denver with our scooters - weather permitting. Rocky Mountain Monster Ride

Uh oh. Do I see a rumble with the Stella Scooter gang brewing?

Why do I suddenly feel like listening to Quadrophenia?

Have fun. I don't think the snowfall is going to make much for turns. I am sure a few trip reports will pop on TGR.

I hate riding in the rain but I haven't done a good rally this summer. Expect to see us on the evening news. We will have several local celebrities riding along. Some are in the news biz.

Everyone one with street legal two wheels is invited - including motorcycles. We've had Harley riders tag along in the past.

Don't be too upset. This snowfall is more of a novelty than anything. It'll be all but gone on Sunday. Now come October and this happens, well then w00t, w00t!
