i posted a while back about working with an apparel and sponsorship startup named Design Proper. we finally received our first shipment of gear, and i want to know what everyone thinks. like i said before, i'm not here to just promote our stuff, rather i need everyone's opinions and ideas to help get our company off of the ground.

all of our stuff is limited edition...ie once it sells we won't ever be producing it again. we're trying to keep everyone looking original . it's all for sale too, so let me know if you're interested in something.

check out the website if you want to...Design Proper Clothing Co. more to come online in the future, this is just to get us started.

Good start, I like the t-shirts not to crazy about the blue ones.

The one thing I hate about your company is the website. You really need to get a good site up and running(not a heavy one too).

Good luck with your company.

And another company that looks like every other little boutiquish start up. Don't see anything super original here maybe the chick modeling but thats it.

I have to say that I totally rocked the white hoodie while out at hood for summer sessions... DP is a local company for me, and Ryan is a kick ass owner!!!! they are a grass roots company just trying to make a difference out here, and believe me we need it!!!! Isn't that what's important?? support our local businesses and shops?? They certainly support us as riders!!! seriously I would buy DP's line any day before I wear some large company's shit that doesn't give a crap about what I did out on the mountain or how my progression is coming along... just my thoughts...

looks like someone came on a shirt.

gold one cranks the hardest, i like the skulls inside of the bones.

less sloppy arrows and splatters, more defined sharp designs like the one on the red shirt would help... of course with a bit of your own personal flare

I am in the process of starting up my own streetwear label, so I guess I'm qualified to answer.

Even though the people before me were blunt, their thoughts were pretty bang on man. Your white t-shirt design is weak, your red and blue tee's are actually real mack though!

The thing is they aren't original - everyone has done prints to death, in all shapes and sizes. To set yourself apart from the hundreds of other tee companies tryna' make a name you need to do a combination of things. I'll do my best with advice from what I can see.

Do not only use prints as your 'original' artwork, try use different colour schemes, cuts of tees, general designs etc. Following on from this is the fact that your production of clothes seems extremely conservative for a streetwear label?

Obviouly this isn't your whole line up, but I personally feel the only t-shirt with real longevity is the red one, and the black hoodie will sell well.

Hope this helps.

I think your basing your T's too heavily around your brands logo, everything else on the tee's seem to be blatent use of photoshop brushes and the like (arrows, splatter and general carnage). You need some balance.

eg. Different ways the brand NHTVSN uses its brand as the centre piece but mixes it up each time. Proper street wear.

You also need some controversy or a selling point, I personally don't buy a $30 Tee that only has a brand on it... i won't it to portray a point or have something witty or unique involved.

eg.

Now get on it! The Tee shirt game is a very competetitive market with the need for a unique selling point to survive, good luck

***slaps forehead***

I actually think the site is pretty slick. Not sure about the logo design, it's not rockin' my socks or anything. Then again, I don't have any real good suggestions either. You got to go for something iconic or suggestive would be my $.02. Playing to a niche works, the Japan thing you guys got going could be very lucrative. I've seen the Japanese float a few companies that lost all of their US business.
