They showed a clip from the glass snowboard episode today on national news (canada). I was pretty surprised... what a sell out!

Nivek you need to disassociate yourself from that brand and everyone needs to hate on them like burton now!

yes im being sarcastic in case that came across wrong.

Oh my god, how embarrassing....

r/snowboarding is the worst snowboard community I have ever been to. All east coast/mid west riders who go to weather.com and see a 30% chance of light snow and think the next day is a powder day. Or how about how they use ski poles on "cat walks" and flats. Pretty much everyone on there is in their first season and just fucking stupid.

Here is an example on helmets -
DavidBowie-Sensei comments on My friend snapped this sequence shot of me the other day. I think it turned out pretty rad.

edit: the east coast mid west riders isn't meant to be taken the wrong way - if you visit reddit you'd know what I'm talking about.

"We all get it. Helmets are awesome. They save hundreds of lives every year, allowing us shredders to go out and throw the nastiest tricks and take the sweetest lines without worry of spilling our brains onto the snow.
That being said, this whole "anyone who doesn't wear a helmet is a moron" mentality needs to stop. It's disrespectful, it makes you sound preachy, and it's just getting ridiculous. When someone makes a post about a cool trick they did, or some crazy pow day they had, nobody wants to read a thread full of comments about how the person's an idiot for not wearing a helmet.
I don't think there is a single person in this subreddit who isn't aware of the safety benefits of wearing a helmet. It is, after all, REALLY FUCKING OBVIOUS. Regardless of whether someone wears a helmet or not, shut the hell up, please. It's not your fight, and you have no reason to think you have a say in how they live their life. It's their choice, and that's the end of it.
This is all coming from someone who wears a helmet every time he rides, and is really sick of the helmet circlejerk in this subreddit."

This comment I found on Reddit should be a sticky here somewhere. It's perfect way to stop the ongoing, well ..

Really? It looks like most of the comments are appreciative of the picture and only a few haters bitching about the lack of helmet. As of 645am EST today, the post has +463 votes right now so I'm not sure how you arrive at the conclusion that "the entire community attacked" him.

Although there are a lot of noob "what board should I buy?" questions, and a lot of noob "Hey look at this picture of me standing on top of [Some Mountain in the Rockies/Cascades/Wasatch/Alps]" I don't see any posts like the ones you describe, and I'm pretty sure that they (especially an "I use ski poles" post) would end up being ridiculed, deservedly.

But, whatever man. It's a stupid thing to fight about.

Ouch I actually edited my posts with "Edit: I don't know why I care so much"

But, a mod maybe, must have undone the edit - I felt stupid and basically deleted both my posts last night. I don't know how they are back there.....
