The one on the Smokin BuckFerton and Union Atlas with the blue helmet is my son. His coach is on a Smokin Hooligan with Shakas and has dreads..... All our boards will likely have Atlas next season or contact pros.....
First off, is like to say hooray for a thread that's not asking how to pick boots or a board. Second, What kind of elevation are you at... it doesn't look that high up. Cool stuff for Aug especially for us flat landers in the Midwest.:laugh:
In the picnic table shot it got cleared on one attempt, was pretty funny cause he was mid air looking like wtf now? Fortunately the landing was nice. That rail shot was over a muddy rocky death gap and the rail was swaying like a foot each way.... Made that more fun.....
Like Killclimbz said, nice to see someone on the snow.
Been doing a lot of vids and thinking in my head for this years park. I need to get onto some snow and get some seat time. I dont' want to over analyze this to death, progression for me
Cool photo's! Amazing to see someone riding snow in Aug.!
I'm guessing from the bike shots, judging from the full face helmet, and bike you're more of a "Downhiller" than just basic trail rides? Nice! Must b some pretty hairy DH runs in CO.
Speed and trees don't mix. Today, right after one of these pics, my kid ate it.... Hard..... Just like on snow it's hard to see the angle of slope. This trail isn't too bad, it's nice and flowy. Some of them have good drops on them.
Ooooch!!! Hope he's ok! Looks like you ride with good protective gear!
No real DH stuff here in SE. MI. but I've managed to bite it pretty good on a ride or two myself! Hooked a sapling trunk /w a pedal once. One second I'm up on the pedals to crank enough speed for the next rise, next thing I know, there's no bike under me and I'm doing a "superman" into the dirt! Lol!
Must've looked spectacular! The bike just STOPPED n I kept goin'!!!!
Yeah, he's good. We do these kinds of things pretty much daily. Getting bruised and cut up is just a regular thing now...... If we lived in the city and he went to regular school, they would call child services on us daily. He looks beat up most of the snow season, shit I do too...
Oh and yeah. The body armor is a life saver for sure. No free riding or downhill riding without it. Had a local kid die two weeks ago.... he was a big mtn skier that we knew, 15 years old....
Definitely gives one "pause!" I can say however, if I had to go, I'd prefer to "Go" while snowboarding rather than in some accident on the freeway cuz some 4 wheel dipshit thinks my big rig can stop on a dime!
We looked at it and said fuckit. The one up higher is still way better right now. We are sitting slope side now....
