Default CO riding some PARK features in August.....

Went for a little hike today.... found some fun

The one on the Smokin BuckFerton and Union Atlas with the blue helmet is my son. His coach is on a Smokin Hooligan with Shakas and has dreads..... All our boards will likely have Atlas next season or contact pros.....

First off, is like to say hooray for a thread that's not asking how to pick boots or a board. Second, What kind of elevation are you at... it doesn't look that high up. Cool stuff for Aug especially for us flat landers in the Midwest.

And congrats on the Union deal.

Base of the area is 9700'. After the hike.up we are probably at 10700'. Treeline is about 1000' higher.

lol, well that's pretty high compared to what I'm used to, but not too bad of a hike, or was it?

I take it UIH hooked you up? Very nice! This is the sort of thing I want to see happening on the forum more.

Now if they just made splitboard bindings...

Only like 20-30 minutes depending on who's with me. Just hike straight up....

Also, if any of you Colorado guys are gonna poach this, do it quick, they are done with on snow camps for the summer. Just a few morning/day photo shoots. Go later in the afternoon and it's empty. Hope I don't have to actually point out where I'm at, it's pretty obvious

In the picnic table shot it got cleared on one attempt, was pretty funny cause he was mid air looking like wtf now? Fortunately the landing was nice. That rail shot was over a muddy rocky death gap and the rail was swaying like a foot each way.... Made that more fun.....

Like Killclimbz said, nice to see someone on the snow.
Been doing a lot of vids and thinking in my head for this years park. I need to get onto some snow and get some seat time. I dont' want to over analyze this to death, progression for me

We went for a couple of laps this morning. Had a fun time on the bikes. Now on to Woodward and the trampolines/skatelite.

Cool photo's! Amazing to see someone riding snow in Aug.!

I'm guessing from the bike shots, judging from the full face helmet, and bike you're more of a "Downhiller" than just basic trail rides? Nice! Must b some pretty hairy DH runs in CO.
