Best Mountain Job

Im applying for Whistler and im trying to figure out the best job. I initially wanted to do Liftie but thats probably not the best as I wont get as much boarding as other jobs and be in the cold all day.

Whistler

* Busser
* Food & Beverage Cashier
* Food Station Server
* Guest Relations Host
* Guest Services Ski & Snowboard School Sales Host
* Hut & Bistro Work
Lift Operator
* Reservation Centre Host
* Reservation Centre Senior Host
* Retail Cashier
* Retail Rental On Hill Storage Host
* Retail Sales Clerk
* RR Rental Tech
* Valet Clerk
* Advanced Sales Centre Host
* Res Centre Travel Parnter Fullfillment Host
* Tube Park Attendantt
* Revenue Representative
* Vault Clerk
Kids Outdoor Ranger
Kids Kitchen Helper
Kids Den Master
* Dishwasher
* Prep Cook
* Restaurant Day Cleaner
Parking Host

A night job would be best but im not sure from this list which one that will be. Anyone with experience applied or know of the best ones to go for? Ones with * are ones I haven't ruled out yet.

I can only put 3 on the form so I gotta narrow it down.

Well if you have to work for the resort, I would lean towards the rental tech, (at least you get to work with equipment and maybe learn some stuff), or retail cashier. You can stay inside, nice and warm, then go ride for your breaks.

The other job I would look for is the on mountain restroom attendent. Yeah, you got to clean some bathrooms, but only shit you have deal with you can flush away. The guys who do that at resorts around here, carry a backpack with extra toilet paper and ride all day long. Going from spot to spot. Part of the job is to bring TP to stranded tourons who have ran out. Just a thought. It can be a popular job or not popular depending on the scene.

Yeah good idea about rental tech - as I get to learn lots about boards, talk to lots of people and im mainly working when the mountain is busy so I can ride the rest of the time.

Im waiting for an opening at Intrawest resorts in their IT support technician position. Then Im moving to the mountains and never looking back. I can see it now. "Matt, you need to go to Steamboat to do a server upgrade" Damn, that would be rough.

i'd pesonally go with prep cook. all you do is cut and chop veggies and meats so that they are ready to be cooked and prepared by the chef. kinda like stocking behind the counter at subway.

Take yourself to higher places.

Job? Probably has a wife and 3 kids by now.

Talk about back from the dead.

Get it. Wax it. Ride it.
