Well if you have to work for the resort, I would lean towards the rental tech, (at least you get to work with equipment and maybe learn some stuff), or retail cashier. You can stay inside, nice and warm, then go ride for your breaks.
The other job I would look for is the on mountain restroom attendent. Yeah, you got to clean some bathrooms, but only shit you have deal with you can flush away. The guys who do that at resorts around here, carry a backpack with extra toilet paper and ride all day long. Going from spot to spot. Part of the job is to bring TP to stranded tourons who have ran out. Just a thought. It can be a popular job or not popular depending on the scene.

Im waiting for an opening at Intrawest resorts in their IT support technician position. Then Im moving to the mountains and never looking back. I can see it now. "Matt, you need to go to Steamboat to do a server upgrade" Damn, that would be rough.

i'd pesonally go with prep cook. all you do is cut and chop veggies and meats so that they are ready to be cooked and prepared by the chef. kinda like stocking behind the counter at subway.
Take yourself to higher places.
