Racewax.com has 30% off everythin. The best deal I've gottten on wax ever. Just spreading the word. Save$ in the summer. Ull b thankin me in the flats leaven the snow kickers behind
2- Red All-purpose Hydrocarbon (for hot-scraping)
2- FluoroMax All-Temp (80 grams each)
1- FluroMax Cold Black (with the moly additive)
1- multi-edge tool with some diamond stones.
I used the FluroMax All-Temp for the first time last year and loved it compared to the years I have been using regular Hydrocarbon wax.... especially some of the ultra slow parts of a trail where it goes slightly uphill...
They have good videos on how to wax on their site (which I linked in the snowboard maintenance thread).
I would go through 40 grams of the FluoroMax All-Temp in a season.
I do go through a lot of Red (Warm) hydrocarbon for base cleaning, about a block per season.
The FluoroMax, you can't drip on, so you can save a lot of wax..... when I apply it, I rub on a layer first, the do the warm/smear technique, and then finally warm it up to spread it around and soak into the base.... wait about an hour or more.... the scrape, and brush with a nylon brush.
I do use a copper brush, tail to tip, prior to applying the wax.
I would love to get a nylon rotobrush kit though....
I do have a block of HC All-temp wax lying around also....so, maybe I'll mix that with the moly block.
and also... they are dropping the sale down to 25% off now.
