So I just bought a Quiksilver Sanitarium 5K Insulated Jacket. QUIKSILVER - Sanitarium 5K Insulated Jacket

and Quiksilver 5K Pants.

They both have 5,000 mm waterproofing. What I don't understand is if the 10,000 mm waterproofing is better, why is it the same price as the 5,000 mm one? Do you guys think I should exchange them for the higher waterproofing?

thats really expensive for a coat with 5k waterproofing. 5k is fine for alot of riding although, so i would say that its probably a fine coat. but for almost 200 i would expect 10k...

If you can exchange for the same price 10k gear i would say why not?

Atleast do it on the pants, Jacket wont be as necessary as good pants that wont get wet .

I'm looking at the Quiksilver sight right now and for only 5 dollars more you can get a jacket with 10K waterproofing lol. I hope they let me exchange it, since I already took off the tags. I still have the receipt, though.

But the next pair of pants with 10k waterproofing is 30 bucks more, which kinda sucks.
