I took my brother skiing once. I tried to start him on some small slopes, but that didn't last. He wanted to hit the expert trail with me. I tried to "coach" him about managing the slope of the trail... I led.
Two minutes later I heard him yelling.... Then he flew by me at an unmeasurable speed.... Then he wiped out bad. I helped him up thinking maybe he learned a lesson. He took off the one ski that was still attached to his binding; picked up the other one and said.... "I'm walkin' down. I have all day, there's no way I'm doing that again." He hasn't been on a slope since... skiing, boarding or otherwise. His son is now an avid skateboarder who I hope will be pickin' up a snowboard soon. |
