Been indoor rock climbing in Calgary and Edmonton to strengthen up the core and all. Done some good serious hikes and the calfs and thighs are getting there!

Nothing can prep me for week one on the hills though. The brain is willing, but the body can't do it...

I've got a feeling I'll be on snow before Halloween again. Maybe I'll wear my old sportbike gear as a costume. :D

I know we've got a thread about this already. But the last couple days I've been saying to myself: I WANT TO GO BIG THIS YEAR. Last year I dabbled with little cliffs and rock hits and some large kickers. This year I'm going to find some lines and run them over and over and bring up the amplitude... I want to get so much air the gravitational pull on my body lessens. Time to man up! :D

Random- My local mountain open last year for a couple of days starting haloween day. Heat came back and melted it away, but damn was that awesome to strap in in october.

Side note: I hope Breck and Keystone gets good coverage by mid January because our trip is booked and paid for, and last year rocks were exposed everywhere. But March was absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!

Got my first park day in... felt like I skipped the first day shaky early season shit and went straight at it. Front and Back Boards on lock on a down box with a little jump, I was airing over most of it and just sliding the end which was super fun... saving the street style rails for another day haha. Jumps were shit so I stayed off...

Fun day tho, good to be back.

Adjusted my bindings yesterday and had an epic balance bar session. Set up this plastic box which I Ollie onto pressing a front, then popped off that onto a plastic ramp that deals to our balance bar. Pretty successful ha:thumbsup:

All that work is paying off.

Front 3's are finally feeling good, getting closer to feeling as good as my back 3's. Was doing a lot of switch back ones off the first of two jumps and front 3's off the 2nd. That really helped dial in the landings. Going fast was the biggest thing though, and waiting to pop so I don't Prespin off the lip. Man the old balls learning curve is a slow one haha. I feel like I'm breaking over a plateaue right now though.
