Smile Dreams become reality

and so i have been somewhat cursed over the last 4 years.

since Zermatt in 2003, the deepest powder has been ankle deep.

when i had learned to ride 6 years prior, every year was arse deep. oh was i spoilt!

even recent trips to canuck have been 'champagne' free! and so i looked to Japan for this year coz they are always getting buried.

and then my sister in law got knocked up! never has the reason for my not wanting sprogs been so clearly manifest!

Japan no more! bollocks. gotta have baby's first xmas!

being one to air an opinion however; my beloved is aware of the distress this situation has provoked.

and so whilst booking the flight to Milan in the run up to chrimbo, she has also looked into places such as Cervinia, Courmayeur and Sestriere.

We fly on Dec 20th and do not return until Jan 7th. 8 days getting fat with the familia and the rest of the time will be in the hills..... assuming it farking snows! and it will only cost me 3 days of annual leave entitlement from my lovely employers! WHOOOOOOSH!

so what dreams are y'all working on? now is the time people!

Boy I have a list of mountains to ride both locally and away.

I have several mountains in my area i have not snowboarded on yet, but then I want to go ride baker, then swing by Denver and possibly even see some friends around jh if I can do it.

I have a busy life outside this place and as your sister in laws sprogs have put a dent in the red circled excursion, I have similar holdups

I want to board some more of the semilocal mountains around here. I want to board with MPD a bit, and just progress overall. In a few years, after I get my two year, I'll hopefully be moving out west, but we'll see how that works out.

lumber - i recommend Fernie to you. not the nicest town to stay in (the rsort is kinda stoopid pricey to stay at) but the mountain is full on

big white is a learner / family resort and the hills are of a difficulty to compliment this. and it is prone to white out (hence its name)

Well, with my unscheduled job change, I am still up in the air. I am going to teach at Meadows again this year and I want to go to Co to ride with KC and also hit Baker with Ale and MPD...oh and Stevens for some night turns with Ale. I really need to go hit Bachelor this year. I have lived and worked Mt. Hood for 3 years now and have yet to go to Bachelor.

This will be the first year in about 6 that I won't be buying a season pass anywhere. My goal is to spend more time earning my turns, as well as snowmobile-accessed b/c.

My dream is to return to AK this year, but the budget won't allow it. Maybe if i eat ramen for the next three months...
