I started snowboarding here in Alaska last year but I stuck mostly to the resorts in anchorage and I went to Alyeska a few times last season as well (Best place by far). Anyways, I wanted to get in some early snowboarding this year so I went out to Hatchers Pass through Palmer but I was wondering if there was anything closer.

I talked to a guy at one of the snowboarding shops around here he said something about people snowboarding on Flattop, so I drove out there to check it out and I didn't see anywhere that was worth riding.

I was hoping some people who are familiar with the area check out these forums and could give me some advice on some new places to go check out.
