Now then after we got on the ridge I am pretty sure I saw Mr. Right and Dr Greenthumb ripping up the ski area.
They are right here...

See them?

We got one last drop through the trees.

By that time it was 4pm and time to make the long round a bout drive to Denver. At least we didn't have to drive through that stinkin' ground blizzard again...

Haha, you are probably right. We actually spent quite a bit of time in the organic park (Right side of photo) on the second and third day. Monarch Mountain reminds me a lot of Wolf Creek in some areas. I like the fact that the drive is about half as long as well. I think DrGreenThumb is still recovering because I haven't gotten the vids/pics sent yet. I'll have my TR in gen snowboarding though because it's not fancy backcountry like you guys have I feel so left out Actually I don't last time I did backcountry was when I jacked my shoulder up so I've been taking it easy.

Yeah there is a ton of snow there. For the three days there it was easy to find 3 feet of fresh all over that mountain so I'd imagine the pass was real deep. The snow was perfect, god I'm glad we don't live on the east coast

No worries man. At least you have world class rock to climb... Oh wait, I HAVE world class rock to climb. Sorry dude. I promise to take you out for some good craggin' and drinks afterwards. Hell at this rate, we would probably be able to ride on Berthoud Pass. Would a 166 Voile Splitboard work for you???

What I envy Gary is that wonderfull blue sky after your snow dumps! We have incredible snow on Mt. Hood, but I am so tired of the grey flat light, fog, blowing snow, hail, ice pellets and freezing rain. We get gorgeous weather in April and May and the spring corn is fun, but I love cold dry pow under bluebird skies!!!!
