Default Looks like Summit County isn't just dry due to a lack of snow...

Man as if the lack of snow hasn't been bad enough...

SILVERTHORNE, Colo. -- A traffic stop in Silverthorne led to the confiscation of 46.8 pounds of marijuana Thursday.
A Silverthorne police officer noticed a stalled truck at the intersection of Third Street and Adams that was partially blocking the intersection when the officer stopped to assist.
“As the officer pulled behind the stalled vehicle to offer assistance, she observed a GMC Denali driving directly towards her patrol vehicle, failing to stop at the posted stop sign, almost causing a head-on collision,” said Veronica Nicholas, spokeswoman for Silverthorne police.

The officer redirected her attention to the SUV and stopped the driver, identified as Thomas Long II, on suspicion of careless driving.
“As she approached, she could smell a very strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle,” said Nicholas.
A second officer was called to the scene to assist.
“Thomas Long was placed in the officer’s patrol car while his SUV was searched,” said Nicholas. “They located four large lawn garbage bags filled with marijuana.”
The Summit County Drug Task Force, which was contacted for assistance, seized 46.8 pounds of marijuana.
Long was released on a $7,500 bond Thursday evening and faces several drug-related charges.

oh its only the war on drugs KC

by its very nature, with every bust there are 10 other suppliers eager to fill the void, (and charge top dollar)

coppers doing this only make it more of a seller's market!

just go ride before beasties start to confiscate powder of the crystaline aquatic variety!

Hahaha! Yeah, no doubt it's going to make the green a little harder to find around Scummit. I bet there are going to be a lot of resort bums making regular trips down to Denver this winter...

Looks like it's a good time to be a dope dealer in Denver; I'd be spending my weekends in Frisco if I was a supplier...
