Amazing.
I was there for three days last week, and I gotta say that I think very few places in north america will still have riding like that in mid-late April.
Conditions;
Pics to come, but the first day I was out there it was icy and thus groomer riding all day. Second day was warmer, so the iceiness softened up a bit and let me explore the glacier on Blackcomb a bit more... Lets just say whistler mtn was closed, and the lower half of black comb was too, leaving only the top part open...
Allow me to use the term "only" lightly however, cuz the upper part of blackcomb has about 3000' acres of ridable area.... yeah.
On the last day it snowed all the night before and all day, which I think by the end of it we ended up with about 10" of snow.... it was as if Carmen was there :P
Trails open:
A park with M & L features was open, which changed on a daily basis with new jumps and rails still being added (nice to see they hadn't given up on it yet), and all trails on the upper lahf of the mountain were open. Glades were only enjoyable once there was powder on them, and even though it was ice under the powder, it was amazing.
I highly recommencd whistler/blackcomb, especially if its near the end of the season for you, cuz even though I had rode fresh BC mountain powder 12 hours earlier, I returned to t-shirt and short weather when i got home
